BBC Cardiff Singer of the World 2015
Amartuvshin Enkhbat, who represented Mongolia for the first time at the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World 2015, triumphantly won his first round and became one of the five finalists in the Main Prize Final, as well as being one of the five finalists in the Song Prize Final!
This was fantastic news for him, Mongolian opera, the country and its people! Big congratulations to Amartuvshin, the well-deserved winner of his round. Initially, over 300 young international opera singers applied for this reputable international competition and it took 6 months to reach this far.
Amartuvshin received the title of the Honoured Artist of Mongolia at the age of 24 and is a well-known young opera singer for many of his international awards.
Mongolian baritone Amartuvshin Enkhbat competed in the Main Prize Final of BBC Cardiff Singer of the World 2015 on Sunday 21 June after winning his around and becoming one of the 5 finalists out of 20 finalists in the competition. His performances moved many professionals and fans, and even cry at his amazing talent and passionate singing and he was blessed in winning the Dame Joan Sutherland Audience Prize.
We are very proud that Mongolia was represented at BBC Cardiff Singer of the World 2015 for the very first time and of Amartuvshin, who is did fantastically well indeed!
